Make Money as a Spanish Translator

By Clint Tustison There are lots of ways to earn a living in the world today. Sometimes we only seem to think that doctors, lawyers, or rocket scientists are the only ones who can make any money. However, if you’re bilingual in Spanish and another language, you can be a Spanish translator and earn a good income. What it takes to be a Spanish Translator A lot of people think that anybody that speaks two languages can be a translator. This is not the case. A Spanish translator must be able to understand not only English and Spanish, but also has to know the culture of the people that speak the languages, and be able to write well. Also, in order to be a freelance Spanish translator, you need to have drive and determination to make your new business work. Becoming a translator will not make you rich over night. In fact, I know very few translators that would classify themselves as rich. However, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t money in translation. You just have to know how to make some of it yours. Using Spanish to Make Money Once you decide that you’d like to be a translator, you have to realize that as with any other business you might start, people need to know about it in order for you to have any business. If you just say to yourself one day, “Great, I’m going to be a translator starting today,” and then do nothing else, you won’t be anywhere nearer your goal of making money as a Spanish translator. You have to market yourself. This is probably the most important step you have to take in order to become a successful translator. Some translators will probably scoff at me for saying this, but there are translators that aren’t very good but get a lot of business because they are good marketers. On the other hand, there are very good translators that don’t get any business because they are very bad marketers. Marketing Your Translation Business There are a lot of ways to market your newly formed translation business, and I’m not going to outline them all here right now. However, as I’ve talked to translators over the years, I’ve come to the conclusion that the hardest period for translators is right at the beginning of their careers. It’s when they’re just starting out that they have the most trouble finding work. The way to beat that is simple: Tell everyone you know and meet that you are a Spanish translator and that you are open for business. Give everybody a couple of business cards and tell them to pass one on to someone else. This might seem intimidating at first, but you should be proud that you are bilingual and able to translate. There are a lot of people in the world that wish they had what you have. By telling everyone you know that you are looking for translation work, they can keep their eyes and ears open for you. And once you get clients, it’s a lot easier to have them keep coming back to you for all their needs than to go out and find another client. There are a lot of Spanish translators in the world today, but if you take yourself seriously and start marketing yourself as outlined above, you’ll be able to make a niche for yourself in the translation industry and make money as a Spanish translator. Clint Tustison loves languages and has been translating for the past 10 years. Lately he’s begun imparting his knowledge of the translation industry to help all those interested in becoming translators. Crochet Like an Expert

By Kent Sayre Crocheting is a great craft for beginners and experts both. Beginners can make crocheted scarves in just a few hours using large needles (hooks), a bulky yarn, an a single crochet stitch. Those who are more experienced can get into double crochets, treble stitches, popcorn stitches or any number of combination stitches that can create endless patterns for hats, mittens, sweaters, slippers, and blankets. The basic tools needed to crochet like an expert are a hook and yarn. These tools vary greatly in size and even material. A beginner may find it easiest to work with an I of J sized hook and a light weight yarn. This allows them to see their work as they progress. The new fashions using faux furs are a bit more difficult, but can be mastered very quickly once the basic single crochet stitch is learned. All crochet projects start with a chain stitch. This is just what the name implies, a chain of a specified length into which the hook will be inserted to start the next row of stitching. Depending on the pattern, the crochet stitch may be worked into each link of the chain or skip links to create spaces in the pattern. A common pattern for a blanket is the granny square. This can be one big square that makes up the whole blanket or a series of smaller squares that are later stitched together. In the case of the granny square, the chain you begin with is only a few stitches long. Then you work the single crochet into it, skipping links so that the stitches begin to circle around and form a square. The next row adds stitches as it makes its way around the perimeter so that the square can grow to the desired size. Anyone can crochet like an expert with a few basic skills. The chain stitch, a single crochet stitch and the double or half double crochet stitch can be woven into endless patterns and accessories. The electronic manual gives you the details invaluable tips from master needle workers. http://www.infostormpublishing.com/ebooks/?bk=30 Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Kent_Sayre http://EzineArticles.com/?Crochet-Like-an-Expert&id=221059 guaranteed personal loan approval poor credit and need a loan automotive hard money loans no credit check bank accounts uk

Like a Flood: What The Church does with Killers like Katrina

By Michael Tummillo Isaiah 59:19 declares: “…when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the lord lifts up a standard against him.” I’m not all that sure that the original language in which this was written contained a comma after the word “flood.” I prefer to believe that the actual pause belongs after the word “IN.” Try it again: “When the enemy comes in, LIKE A FLOOD, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” There. That’s more like it. When we think of “spiritual journeys,” we usually envision experiences that will lead us to peace and harmony, serenity and contentment. As we attempt to deal with the stuff of life, whether it’s emotional, physical, relational or financial, as spiritual beings, we tend to tap into spiritual things for comfort and guidance. As you take your spiritual journey, beware! God may be taking you somewhere special and unexpected. Don’t fall for the illusion that spirituality is always a source of solace. There’s an old Yiddish proverb that goes, “God is an earthquake, not an uncle.” Along those lines, do you recall the Prophet Elijah’s encounter with God on Mount Horeb? Here we have the mighty Prophet Elijah, fresh after his defeat of the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of the Asherah on Mount Carmel, being hunted by Queen Jezebel. While this mighty man of God was hiding from this woman, he encountered some other, very frightening things – natural elements that included an earthquake, wind, lightning, and fire. But by virtue of the depth of his relationship with God, he knew these could not have been sent by Him, the God who had cared for him for so many years. It was only when Elijah heard “a still small voice,” that he felt he was finally hearing from God of Heaven. ARE YOU LISTENING? It’s that same “still small voice” that each of us can listen for and be guided by – even when we are in situations less life-threatening than the path of a hurricane. Right now, we can let that voice direct our prayers for the refugees and the rescuers. We can listen and understand those who are impacted by disaster when we recognize that Hurricane Katrina was NOT God’s way of punishing the Big Easy, though it’s a fact that we will ALWAYS reap the consequences for the seeds we sow – good seeds and bad. If we’re listening, that still small voice will guide us through our own life’s disasters and strengthen us, even when the tide is rising. How strong is your faith? It WILL be tested. How strong is your family? The tests will come. How strong is your church? Your organization? Your relationship? Your community? Your nation? Just as Jesus Himself was led by the Spirit to be tested by the devil (Gee, thanks, Spirit!), so , too, will WE be tested. How else will we know what we’re made of? Jesus said several times that He came “as an example.” If He went through trials, we, TOO, shall face trials. And if we FAIL the tests, we get to take them again and again till we pass to the next level. WARNING: New level, new devil, but we must soldier-on if our lives are ever going to exhibit the fruit of our relationship with God. Don’t worry…once you’ve passed through the Refiner’s fire, you won’t smell a hint of smoke. We have God’s promise. HERE’S WHAT JESUS HAS TO SAY: “And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it,” (Matt 7:24-27). Jesus warned us about the coming flood of the last days, a storm that would be unleashed against the people of God. He described this flood to be accompanied by hurricane winds of testing, torrents of trouble, and rising tide of demonic fury. In such days of persecution, wrath and trouble will pour out of the devil’s foul mouth against the Body of Christ: “Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time… he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child… and the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman [the church], that he might cause her to he carried away of the flood,” (Rev 12:12-15). Will Satan literally spew floodwaters out of his mouth? No. The enemy WILL come against us with words, lies, half- truths, and every wicked thing that can be verbalized or even written. He will use our own minds and even other people to keep the “flood” coming at us relentlessly to get us where we have no solid foundation on which to stand. By now, we’ve all seen the TV footage of Katrina’s floodwaters carrying with it everything from cars to trains to houses, destroying everything in its path. This is why God says our enemy comes in like a “flood”, using words of destruction to bring us down and to destroy us. Satan wants to do to us what a flood does to everything in its path. LIFT UP A STANDARD As was mentioned at the start in Isaiah 59:19, a “standard is lifted up by the Spirit of the Lord on our behalf. What is the “standard”? How do we make use of this resource? We find the answer in Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” There it is, the “word of their testimony” was the overcoming action they used. Yes, we hate those tests but we do love the testimonies, don’t we? We also find in Isaiah 59:21 “As for Me,” says the LORD, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the LORD, “from this time and forevermore.” God has placed His Word in our mouths. Not only in our minds (Psalm 119:11 says: “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against you!”) Certainly, His Word is in our Bibles, but He wants the Word in our mouths. In our hearts. We overcome the “flood” of the enemy by God’s Words coming out of our mouths. Our testimony. Jesus used this when He was tested; our example. Jesus only responded to Satan in His wilderness discipleship course with the Word. God has provided the perfect weapon to use. His Word is powerful and Satan cannot stand against it. It is so much more than a levee that diverts the flood he sends our way; it swallows it up. We now have everything we need for covenant living. We can have triumphant lives, pleasing to God, serving Jesus and following the small voice of the Holy Spirit. IS GOD YOUR HIDING PLACE? I’ve faced some tragic crises, both personal and professional. My own dad once asked me why it was I wasn’t seeing a psychologist after all I’d been through. It’s because Jesus is REAL to me; real as you are. In the darkest hours of my soul, the only place where I’ve found the genuine “peace that passes all understanding” and the “unspeakable joy” referred to by Paul the Apostle came as a result of a relationship with God in trusting that He truly is my refuge. Regarding Katrina, there will be much to do to recover from this mess. God’s presence and power will be available to guide and direct recovery efforts as well as the return to civilization for all who will call upon Him. Throughout the restoration effort, His love, mercy and grace will continue to be available as the refuge that comforts, strengthens, and restores the spirit of those in need. My warning to those being tested through this recent, overwhelming disaster: Do NOT be too quick to detest your current discomfort. We in the West would do well to learn to embrace the thorns as well as stopping to smell every delightful rose. This life is not “it” for you. There’s more. It gets better. We can never expect to be satisfied here anyway. Need hope for the “floods” that seem to be overtaking YOUR life right now? Read this from Jeremiah 29:11-14: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me. When you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.” DO YOU WANT TO HELP? The largest displacement of Americans since the Civil War reverberated across the country from New Orleans yesterday, as more than half a million people uprooted by Hurricane Katrina seek shelter, sustenance and are facing the uncertainties of starting some sort of new lives. Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling and his wife Shonda paid to fly a New Orleans family of nine to Boston and pledged to provide them with housing for a year. The Fields family, with seven children between the ages of 5 and 12, fled New Orleans just before Hurricane Katrina struck. “When we realized how many people had nowhere to go, we didn’t just want to make a donation,” Shonda Schilling told The Boston Globe. “We decided we wanted to bring an entire family here and put them up.” The families connected through a Web site, OpenYourHome.com, which matches displaced families with people willing to house them. The Schillings registered Friday and on Saturday anonymously arranged for the family to fly to Boston. Additionally, the American Red Cross has set up a site where individuals may volunteer their homes or request a place to stay. That site is located at KatrinaHousing.org. Check it out. To Christians everywhere, we must ask ourselves the question, if we do not take these displaced families in, taking advantage of the opportunity to make disciples, who will? Over the years, I have taken in homeless people myself. A gay witch. A long-bearded alcoholic brick-layer. A former Army Ranger who had just become a Christian after years in the occult. A black crack addict. Several others on a very short-term basis. I have also been that person seeking shelter, trusting that God was going to provide in one way or another. He always did. My advice to anyone is simply: (1) make sure you’re being led by the Spirit. A “good” idea is not always a GOD idea.(2) if you take someone in, set the house rules IN WRITING so that your guests know what’s expected by both parties, what will not be tolerated and what the consequences will be if rules are broken. (3) involve church leadership; keep everyone accountable. There are more. implementing these would be a good start. College Readiness Is A Myth

By Leanne Hoagland-Smith Todays young people are taking over 5.3 years to earn a 4-year degree. This low expectation is costing parents thousands of dollars. Part of the reason for this may now be traced to the gap between parents beliefs about college readiness and actual reality. In early 2006, the Public Agenda Organization released a reality survey that suggested the following: 69% of parents believed that their high school graduating children had the skills needed to succeed in college 7% of parents believed that their children DID NOT have the skills This data when compared with research from ACT indicates that the majority of parents need a reality check. Only 51% of the ACT test takers met the college readiness benchmarks in reading. The ACT data confirms what the Nations Report Card revealed that national reading scores for 17 year olds have not changed in 33 years and are not even near what is demanded of todays knowledge workers. And even if the young person graduates from college, over 50% of them will not be able to compare credit card offers, interpret a table about exercise or blood pressure or understand the arguments of newspaper editorials. (Source:American Institutes for Research) The reasonable explanation for this gap may be that many parents believe what they experienced in college 20 or 30 years ago is what their children will be experiencing. Given that many of these parents attended public schools, they believe that their high school education was satisfactory for college readiness and college success. With the addition of new curriculum including technology (computers), advance college placement courses and the influx of best practices research from local universities, why should parents believe that high school is not preparing their children for college success? Only when the majority of parents change their beliefs about this college readiness myth and become more proactive in their childrens education, we will begin to see dramatically improved performance both in high school and college. Until that time, universities will continue to smile as they take millions of dollars to the bank at the expense of students, parents and taxpayers. Leanne Hoagland-Smith, President of ADVANCED SYSTEMS, works with students, parents and large urban to private schools to improve performance through student leadership in wrap time. Using proven tools, we can quickly help your son or daughter to improve their college readiness skills and create an Action Plan for ongoing success in school and out of school. What would the value be if your child graduated college in 4 years and had the necessary skills to be successful in the real world? Let me tell you a hidden mystery of the time of the rapture.

By Matthew Robert Payne Matthew 24:29-31 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Do you see clear as day it says here immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days? This verse says the rapture is after the tribulation. People saying that we will go before the first trumpet must not have read this verse or understood it. Pre tribulation doctrine is a lie and there is a very good reason why people cling to that lie and a very good and profitable reason that Satan allows it to be so widespread. This verse should be enough to convince you but I have a few more verses for you who have been so indoctrinated by a lie that you may need a little more evidence. Mark 13:24-26 24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; 25 the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. People try and explain this verse by saying that there is going to be a rapture that people will not see the Son of God and then there will be a time when Jesus comes back to rule the world. Yet if you have ever read the accounts of the last bowls to be poured out on earth I dont think many humans would be alive on earth to look up and see the Son of Man. The heavens shall be shaken, and the words after the tribulation are both phrases that are similar to the ones in the Matthew 24:29-31 and so we can assume that when the people look up to see the Son Of Man coming that they will also see the elect going to heaven as it says in the Matthew verse. I Corinthians 15: 51-52 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. There are seven trumpets in the Book of Revelation and if the rapture was going to be before the tribulation then the seven trumpets must also be before the tribulation, but we all know that the trumpets are all part of the judgement. So the last trumpet is the last trumpet and the last is normally the last one mentioned in the world I live in, and this would be number seven. The rapture will happen the same time the trumpet is played. So when is the trumpet played? Revelation 11:11-19 (New King James Version) The Witnesses Resurrected 11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, Come up here. And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. 13 In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven. 14 The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly. Seventh Trumpet: The Kingdom Proclaimed 15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever! 16 And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying: We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come,[c] Because You have taken Your great power and reigned. 18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth. 19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail. You notice the cloud the two last prophets ascend into when Jesus says, Come up here.. And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. Isnt that the same cloud that we all go up into? 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Seeing as the Lord would come down to stand in a cloud and call the two witnesses home does it not make sense that the same cloud would take the believers. You see its that last trumpet that the archangel blows that signals the rapture as we have seen and in Revelation we see it confirmed that it is the last trumpet that the witnesses go in a cloud. Preachers all over the world will have you think that the two witnesses start their ministry after the rapture. This means that they get converted to the faith one week and become to most important prophets that the world has ever seen the next week without training in the Word of God and a deep relationship with Jesus and God that can only be developed in depth over years of faith, trials and patience. If these two prophets are alive on earth today, which I know for sure that they are, they are holy, righteous and already walking in the prophetic in training. As holy followers of Jesus would they deserve to miss the so called pre tribulation rapture so they can stay back to judge the world? The most important messengers would not deserve to miss a rapture and so it only makes sense that no Christian leaves earth until they do. Malachi 4 (New King James Version) The Great Day of God 1 For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up, Says the LORD of hosts, That will leave them neither root nor branch. 2 But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. 3 You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this, Says the LORD of hosts. 4 Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgments. 5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. 6 And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse. If a prophet like unto Elijah is to be one of the two witnesses as this scripture says, how fair would it be on the world if a rapture happened before Elijah warned the world? When has a world or Israel ever been judged before the warning, but pre tribulation people will have you believe the world will only be judged before they have been warned by the prophets. The prophets will come BEFORE the great and dreadful day of the LORD verse five above says. So what of the church? Isaiah 26:20-21 (New King James Version) Take Refuge from the Coming Judgment 20 Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past. 21 For behold, the LORD comes out of His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; The earth will also disclose her blood, And will no more cover her slain. The church has to enter into the hiding place as the wrath of God is poured out in the world. You see the earth will also disclose her blood. The two witnesses will be given the power to turn rivers and oceans to blood like Moses did the Nile and so the innocent blood of the prophets will be manifested on the earth and no more will the earth cover the blood of the slain. Michael will rise up in those days. Daniel 12:1-2 1 At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. 2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt. And at the time your people shall be delivered means that they will see the judgement but like Noah saw the judgement he was delivered from it and lived to tell the story. The reason pre tribulation doctrine is taught. People like to think that they will escape judgement. It is an easier doctrine to preach and easier on people who do not want to serve God with all their hearts and money and lives. Its easy to think you will escape the Beast and the Mark and tribulations and yet when Jesus is your Master what have you to fear? Get close to Jesus. Youre not leaving till the last trumpet if you have good health now and so take the time to save as many people as you can. Bass Fishing Tips and Tactics

By Alan King When bass fishing, anglers employ a variety of tactics to land their fish. At different types of day, different lures and bait can be employed. Good morning baits are buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. Midday calls for crankbaits or jig-n-pig baits meant to look like crayfish. In the afternoon, plastic worms, fish, lizards, frogs, and fish can help catch the perfect bass. Live bait can work at all times, but has to be kept in good condition so that it will move enticingly when sighted by the fish. Bass will eat almost anything moving, so it is good to keep your line in motion. Bass are cold blooded, and so can only survive and be active in a narrow range of temperatures. They are most active between sixty and seventy-five degrees Fahrenheit. Below fifty degrees or so, their metabolisms slow down, and so does their eating. Sluggish bass are less inclined to take bait. Above eighty degrees, the level of oxygen in the water drop and place the bass under stress. On a warm summer day, the bass are likely to keep to cooler waters where the oxygen levels are higher. Bass are a schooling fish. When you catch one, you will probably catch another in the same area. This means that once you find bass, you should slow down and cast thoroughly into the immediate area to find more. If you are catching and releasing your fish, you should not put them immediately back into the water. Frightened fish can scare others off. Most fishing boats have a live well in which you can keep fish before releasing them. It is especially common to use these live wells in bass fishing tournaments to keep the fish biting at the lures. Schools of bass in deeper waters will tend to clump more tightly together. In shallower water, the school may be more spread out over a larger area. Similarly sized bass will tend to school together. Bass love to congregate near cover and around structures and obstacles in the water. Bridge supports, large rocks, tires, bushes, and weeds all attract bass. These obstacles provide cover for these predatory fish to seek out their prey, as well as protecting them from larger animals that would like to prey on them. Bass are opportunistic feeders. They dont tend to stay where they cant find food, but theyll eat almost anything moving. Crayfish, insects, smaller fish, lizards and frogs can all be part of the bass menu. They have even been known to eat small injured birds. College Loans

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Thomas_Morva]Thomas Morva Education is now becoming an increasingly important determinant of your future success, but its costs are also continuously rising. How do you cope? You can take out a collage loan. Here, we compare the terms of some college loans available to help you find the right one for your situation. There are several basic and important features of college loans, including interest rates, out-of-pocket fees, approval time, and comprehensiveness. Collage loan interest rates vary, but as a general rule, the rate should not exceed 8.25 percent per annum. The rate should also be fixed so that you dont have to worry about having to pay increasing amounts year after year. Any college loan with a higher interest rate is just not worth it if you do take out such a loan, you will find yourself shackled in debt the minute you graduate. Some people even file for bankruptcy because of their college loans, so dont fall prey. Out-of-pocket fees are an important feature of college loans. As a student, your budget is already limited and you can definitely do away with costly application and processing fees. You should not have to pay more than a few dollars in order to get your application moving. You should also be entitled to grace periods of about half a year between graduation and repayment, and you should have the option to defer if you re-enroll, without paying too much in processing fees. You cant afford to wait for the next semester to enroll, and your college loan provider should understand that. Some loans are approved in as little as three to five working days, especially if you are studying in smaller colleges where there are fewer applications. Otherwise, its a good idea to file your college application several months ahead to avoid the long queues. Comprehensiveness is another feature you should examine. Different kinds of loans cover different kinds of educational fees, and your choice should really depend on what you need. Some loans only cover the cost of attendance (counting tuition and other miscellaneous expenses), but some even cover room and board (which is especially helpful to international and out-of-state students or those with heavy unit loads that force them to live on campus). Law School Know-How

By Robert Thatcher Getting into law school can be a very arduous task for aspiring students. You need to start as early as your freshman year in high school if you decide that being a lawyer is what you really want to do for the rest of your life. Do not be misled by the rosy portrayal of a lawyer’s life in TV or in the movies. In real life, lawyers would have 12 to 18 working hours, especially for those who are aspiring to be partners in their respective law firms. In order to achieve your goal, first, you need to have the correct mindset. Here are some tips on how students can realize their lifelong goal of becoming a lawyer: 1. Know what you want, and how to get it. First, reflect on the reasons why you would like to pursue this career. If you are just looking for the ‘flash’ or recognition of becoming a lawyer, remember that becoming one is sheer hard work. Just like in every profession, you need to give yourself into studying, then working as a lawyer. You may have this idealistic view as a kid that you want to save the world from the injustices that is why you would like to become a lawyer. If you find yourself still passionate about this cause, there is no harm in pursuing your dreams. More importantly, remember that once you decide on taking up law, you need to work very hard as a student. 2. Take off your rose-colored glasses. You need to understand that not every student who takes up law ends up with a job as a lawyer once they graduate. You will not necessarily end up as a courtroom hero saving an “innocent criminal” in this field. You may find yourself dealing with real estate, corporate law, divorce cases, or even drafting up wills. Prepare yourself for all possibilities because anything could happen. 3. Ask yourself, “Am I competitive enough?” From the time that you send in your applications, to the time that you take the exam to be a licensed practitioner, there will be competition. Applications for entry into law schools soar every year. What are your chances of being chosen and accepted as compared to thousands of other applicants? Check the skills that you have and once you are confident enough that you can get into law school, then you have gone through the first step in achieving your goal. 4. Go to a university which has a record of getting a lot of students into law school. It is safe to say that if you are a graduate of a school which “produces” a lot of great law students, then this should be a plus factor for you. There are universities that help the students get into law school by providing mock exams and interviews, and also offer letters of recommendation. 5. Having a good grade-point-average (GPA) is not enough, you need to pass the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) with flying colors. Maintain your GPA, and make sure that you perform well in the LSAT’s. There are web sites where you can take practice tests at a certain cost. You may also enroll in a course that aims to prepare you for this particular exam. 6. Be an early bird. Once you have decided on entering law school, make sure that you submit your applications way before the deadline. This should give you ample time to prepare. Finally, you need to organize your letter of recommendations, transcripts and all the paperworks that you will need to get in. You may seek the advice of a consultant, undergraduates or lawyers who have already passed the stage that you are now going through as a hopeful law school student. If you combine hard work with determination and you prepare everything in advance, you will surely gain entrance to the prestigious law school of your choice. Stress Triggers Back Pain

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Pierre_Gabriel_Duncan] Pierre Gabriel Duncan Stress and other emotional factors are believed to play a major role in low back pain, particularly chronic low back pain. Many people unconsciously tighten their back muscles when they are under stress, studies revealed. Low back pain is used to describe a range of symptoms. Depending on the cause, low back pain may be dull, burning, or sharp. It may be felt at a single point or over a broad area. It can come on gradually or suddenly and may occur with muscle spasms or stiffness. Back pain can either be acute or chronic. Acute lasts for less than three months and most people gain relief after about 4 to 6 weeks of home treatment. Chronic on the other hand lasts longer than three months. Experts said stress causes tense muscles which are tight and feel “hard” to the touch. People who are stressed often have neck, shoulder, and low back pain. This may be caused by constant tension in the muscle because of stress. Stress also affects rheumatoid arthritis. Easy remedies For chronic back pains, simple home remedies will ease the pain. Applying ice for 5 to 15 minutes every two or three hours will do a lot of help. Taking a hot shower or using a heating pad or hot water bottle can do wonders for some. Others opt the fast and easy relief from pain medicines like Tramadol. Taking Tramadol on a regular schedule usually works best instead of waiting until the pain is severe. A number of online pharmacies including drugstoretm.com. carry Tramadol. For the first day or two, rest in a comfortable position. Try lying on your side with a pillow between your knees. Or lie on your back on the floor with a pillow under your knees. Medical experts advise patients to get back to their normal activities as soon as possible. Movement helps your muscles stay strong. Staying in bed for more than 1 or 2 days, they said, can actually make the problem worse. Walking is the simplest and perhaps the best exercise for the lower back. However, if symptoms are severe or pain does not stop even after two weeks of self care, it is best to consult a doctor. Stronger pain medicines and physical therapy may be necessary. Strive to make your lives stress-free as stress is one of the main causes of back pains. Things You Should Do On Your Wedding Day

By Lesley-Ann Graham Each wedding is unique. Each bride and groom puts their own special mark on their nuptials to make it truly their own event. This can be seen in your clothes, your reception’s menu and even in your shoes. Weddings are different yet the same in some things. The most important one being that no matter where or when or how they get married, the bride and groom’s wedding is a celebration of the union of two people. It is a joyous occasion and it is a party. As such here are some very important things to keep in mind for the party: 1. Greet your guests. Whether you welcome them at the door or go around and say hi, don’t let any of your guests go without a personal greeting from you. They have come a long way to be with you on your special day. Make them feel welcome. 2. Make sure that everyone knows someone at your party. Seat old friends together. Make sure that your young cousins are not feeling out of place in the room full of grownups. Most importantly, if you do have a couple of friends over who don’t know anyone else present, take the time to seat them at a table with people who are friendly and welcoming. 3. Choose a menu that is filling and enjoyable for everyone. If you’re on a diet that does not mean that everyone else is. Remember a party is meant to have good food. 4. Make sure that the restrooms are clean and working properly. There’s nothing worse than needing to use the toilet and it’s dirty and stopped up. If you follow these rules your wedding guests will thank you for it!
